The Inland Sites 1-3 Pax

Service Description

Locations Visited: Vaihu, Puna Pau, Ahu Akivi. You will be visiting the interior west part of the island when you choose to take this tour. We start in Hanga Te´e, which is a bay where you will find platforms in ruins that allow you to learn about customary village lay out. This is close to Vaihu which is one of the bays that is outside of town. We will then continue interior to visit Puna Pau which is called the Pukao Quarry. The only location that red-scoria was carved for the creation of the top-knots of the moai, we will then finish in Ahu Akivi which is one of the larger inland platforms which is restored and has astrological ties. You will also be able to view a little bit more of the local agriculture in this sector.
