Locations Visited: Ahu Vinapu, Rano Kau, Orongo Ceremonial Village. Starting in Vinapu you will witness a very perfected platform and learn about the 2 platforms that are in this site. Before ascending to visit the Rano Kau Crater lake you will be introduced to what is “Tangata Manu” and how there was a historical transition form the Moai phase to the Birdman phase. You will then have the honor to visit the largest crater lake on the island, which is a beautiful wetland. Continuing forward you will arrive to the Orongo village you will visit the restored housing and learn about the ceremony that took place once a year in this fabulous place.
