Hours walking from 4 to 6 / 12 kms approx. Level: Medium – Hard Poike is the 1st volcano that erupted that starts the formation of Rapa Nui millions of years ago. It is the North East extreme part of the island and a beautiful site to see as its completely isolated from people and from the rest of the island. You will start to ascend this volcano from the east side walking towards the crater Pu a Katiki, then you will walk down towards Maunga Vaiaheva where you will find a carved rock structure with the same name on the side of the hill. You will then start to descend towards the sector Kava Kava Kio´e where you’ll end of the cliff edge at Ahu Toremo Hiva to continue down all the way Mahatua where you finish this hike
