Mata Tourism is a company which was created to not only give value to the archeological sites of Rapa Nui, but also to its people, their traditions, and place.
The pandemic taught us, that we must work hard to achieve the sustainability of our destination and to work with suppliers that share our same dedication to this concept. We support fair trade with our workers and most importantly receive clients with a desire to help us to leave a positive imprint on our island.
OUR VISION
Indigenous tourism is a sector of the industry that grows every year. It is important that indigenous communities like ours take control of their culture and ensure that it is always well represented. “Mata Tourism” is the the first B company of indigenous tourism in Rapa nui and we want to show that companies can be agents of change not only economically but also socially and environmentally. As a result contributing to improvements of our own community and of the whole world.

Our mission is to support local tourism entrepreneurs and microentrepreneurs.
Encouraging them to develop and promote products and services on our platforms with an authentic but also innovative indigenous seal while contributing to the cultural preservation and economic development of our people.
